Meet Our Leaders


Logan Savage, Director of Therapy Operations
Logan received his Bachelor of Health Science from Ohio State University before completing his Master of Occupational Therapy from Governors State University.

Prior to joining LRRH, Logan spent six years with Ascension St. Vincent, both treating and serving as a leadership member across acute care and long-term acute care hospitals. He is passionate about advancing evidence-based practice and providing the highest level of care for the patients he serves.

Logan currently resides in Indianapolis with his wife and young child. In his spare time, Logan enjoys reading, going on walks with his family, and spending long weekends hiking in the area.


Steve Salkie, Director of Pharmacy Operations
Steve received his pharmacy degree from Purdue University in 1997. He has held numerous management positions throughout his 25-year pharmacy career with Meijer Pharmacy, Target Pharmacy, and Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo.

Prior to joining LRRH, Steve spent six years with Ascension St. Vincent Kokomo as a clinical pharmacist, rotating through the anticoagulation department, the antibiotic stewardship team, as well as the Joint Commission for Safety team. Steve’s favorite part of his position at LRRH is being able to talk to the patients about their medications and how we can make their lives better through medication management. He also enjoys being able to take the time to listen to the patients as he counsels them on their meds.

When Steve is not working, he loves to spend his time with his wife, children, special friend, Aspen (a 168-pound Great Dane), and feline friends, Aaron Burr and Hamilton. He also enjoys working on his house, reading sci-fi and fantasy books, gardening, fishing, binge-watching great movies, and taking road trips to new places.


Rich Essick, Director of Facilities Management
Rich takes pride in ensuring the physical components of the hospital are well maintained and operating effectively.

A decorated Air Force veteran, Rich is a medical service corps officer and biomedical equipment engineer. He has directed engineering and maintenance operations in healthcare, university, hospitality, and government facilities.

Rich is an occupational education instructor and former certified biomedical equipment technician. He earned a bachelor’s degree in occupational education from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas, and a master’s degree in business administration from Touro University in Cypress, California, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He also is a distinguished graduate from Airman Leadership School & Commissioned Officer School.

In his spare time, Rich enjoys sports, industrial art and design, music, traveling, and cooking.


Erin Couch, Director of Patient Outcomes
Erin currently resides in West Lafayette, Indiana. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders from Indiana State University and continued on to receive a Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Erin has been an active member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association since 2012.

Prior to her current role, Erin served as an Administrator for a Home Healthcare agency. Additionally, she practiced speech and language pathology for a local hospital for 5 years serving pediatric and adult outpatients, long term acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, home health, and acute care populations.

Erin is married with two children. When not working, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her friends and family outdoors.


Darci Dreher, Director of Marketing & Business Development
As a Registered Nurse and Long Term Care Administrator, Darci brings a caring, compassionate, upbeat drive with her. Darci’s experience include Acute Care, Psychiatric Nursing, Home Care and Long Term Care. She graduated from DACC in 2005 as an LPN and 2007 as a Registered Nurse.

In Darci’s current role, she enjoys educating the community about the hospital and its services.

Darci currently resides in Covington, Indiana with her husband and children. When she is not at work, Darci enjoys spending her time with her family and attending her children’s sporting events.


Laura Korty, RN, MBA, Director of Compliance
Laura works with the LRRH team to assure patients receive the highest quality of care through her oversight of quality infection prevention, and regulatory compliance at the hospital.

Laura brings more than ten years of nursing experience to her role, having worked in both acute hospital care and ambulatory care. She has focused on patient safety, quality of care, and performance improvement. Laura received her nursing degree from Purdue University and her MBA from Western Governors University.
